Poetry

After the release of my debut poetry collection Gasthuis in 2020, my work has appeared in various magazines, an arts book, De Volkskrant, and special publications celebrating 70 years of Eye Filmmuseum. My style has been described as unpretentious and unblushing, clear yet fluid, steadfast and sometimes uncomfortably up close. Gasthuis was nominated for Best Dutch Debut of the Year, and my poems have since been featured in several anthologies. My work has been translated into French and English.

An English translation of Gasthuis by Astrid Alben will be published by The New Menard Press in 2026.
